How the Kadro app and this portal handle information.

What Kadro is

Kadro is a media player. It ships with no channels, films or series. Everything it plays comes from a playlist you add yourself, or one the reseller you bought your device activation from adds for you.

What stays on your device

• Playlists you add in the app — addresses, usernames and passwords — encrypted with the device's hardware-backed keystore before being written to storage.
• The catalogue synced from your own playlist sources: channel and title lists, and guide data. This never leaves your device.
• Your favourites, viewing history and resume positions. History can be cleared in Settings.
• App settings, and the parental-control PIN as a salted hash — never as the number you typed.

The app asks for two permissions: internet access, and the ability to see whether the network is up. It cannot reach your contacts, location, microphone, camera or files.

What this portal holds

Only if your device has been activated or paired with it:

• A device identity generated by the app — a device code, a MAC-formatted identifier and a device key. This is not your hardware MAC address, and it identifies the installation, not you.
• The device's name and model as the app reports it, plus any label your reseller gives it (for example "living room").
• Playlists attached to that device — yours and your reseller's — encrypted at rest. Yours are visible only inside your own signed-in session.
• Activation state: trial or licensed, and when it expires.
• The IP address the activation request came from, kept for abuse prevention.

We do not ask for your name, email address, postal address or payment details, and there is nothing here to sell. What you watch is never sent to this portal — the app plays from your playlist directly.

Who can see it

A reseller sees the devices they activated, and only the playlists they themselves added. Other resellers serving the same device cannot see them, and neither can they see yours. You see all of them, in the app and when you sign in here.

Deleting it

You can erase everything this portal holds about your device at any time, yourself, from the data-deletion page. On the device, uninstalling the app removes everything stored locally.

Children

Kadro is not directed at children. The parental-control PIN lets an adult lock categories on the device.
